Creative block

I can't seem to get into this semester. I am of course freaking out about this because it is my last semester of doj. It's strange that I can feel both fear of leaving the safety of art school, but wanting to make it on my own too. Sigh. I am doing my project on daily routines. I'm not sure how to illustrate it as of yet, and trying desperately not to have a melt down about it all. But it's not easy. Everyone seems in a similar (ish) boat though. It's just a bit over whelming, that after almost five years of intensive art training, that it's almost finished.

2010 post... a little late

I am trying to write regularly but it's proving tough. But considering my utter panic at the thought of graduating and being thrown into the real world of illustration and art, I should be going full throttle at blogging. Since hopefully someone will see some of my work and think, wow she's really great!!! First week back of uni was pretty useless, couldn't think of where to start. So did nothing at all, always helpful! But did start my poster project... a little past its competition deadline but nevermind no one else did either, and plus it was christmas! Here is an example of the kinda of crazy tea related "uniform" I should have created! This t-shirt freaks me out as well as fascinates!

Christmas deadlines DONE!!!

I cannot believe how stressful the last month or so has been. But it is finally over so I can hopefully enjoy the christmas break without too much work stress. So I've got my dissertation done. Thank god!!! It was an up hill struggle but never the less it is out of my life. Whether the grade will be great, I will not know until flipping MAY! Damn graders! Get my grade for this semester on tuesday. I'd rather not know. But I have to, to know how much more work I have to get through next sem. I know certain folk will get the "good" grades. But I must keep on, keeping on! Oh and our illustration fund raiser went really well! Made nearly £500, with not great promotion, which isn't too bad! And even better I sold some of my work. AMAZING! Right here is a nice wee christmas bear that I sketched out ages ago, and turned into my christmas cards!

Aftermath

A wee sketchbook page, thinking about making them into badges for our illustration sale. Not sure what will sell and what is just a bit daft. My brain has been mush since the weekend antics. But the boxsaur costume for the most part went down well. Though a lot of the folk in liquid had no idea what a box and dinosaur had to do with each other. Silly people! Ach well, live in learn!
